Very nice CG. Our site in section E was shady and had a nice view of the lake. Plenty of activities (donuts with dad, fishing tournament rock skipping contest etc) during Father's Day weekend. Staff was very friendly! Drive to OC was not bad, 15-20 mins. Frontierland water park was free to campers and our boys loved it.
This is the second time we have stayed at this campground. Overall it is a very nice park. Staff was very friendly. Site was muddy and they offered to change site.
Reviewed this park before, but this time we stayed in the North East Loop(full hook-up); great campsite. Bathrooms were very clean and appear to have been refurbished recently. Showers were hot and stong enough to strip paint. Staff and rangers were extremely friendly and helpful. Only reason why did not get a higher score were the ridiculous number of ticks we collected over the weekend. Amusingly, saw a good number of lizards and snakes at the campsite also nothing poisonous or dangerous. Great CG!
Very friendly staff. The CG is convenient to DC and the staff was very helpful with getting us there. Bathroom facilities were very clean. The pool was a welcome and refreshing way to end a long and hot day in DC. Free Wi-Fi had a strong signal. We will definitely stay here again.
Fantastic campground. Bathhouses were pristine. The staff was very vice. We stayed in the 1400 loop which was very convenient to the campfire site and theater. Will stay here again when kids get older.
Very nice state park. Site was level a good size. Swimming pool was huge and not crowded at all during the weekdays. Pool can get pricey at $4/person considering it only cost $14/night for campsite. Heard it can get very crowded on weekends too.(1900 capacity). Very close to Hanover, Gettysburg, (took a day trip there), and York. Overall a great cg. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent CG. Bathrooms were well maintained, very strong hot showers. Campsite was clean and level. Access to beach was a very short drive. Beach was unprotected but water was shallow for over 100yds and felt comfortable that our kids could swim on their own. Very rocky for first 20 feet into water which calls for wearing water shoes or sneakers. Several activities available on the weekends, nature center included. One of our favorite parks will definitely come again soon..
Stayed here weekend of NASCAR race. No major traffic problems to and from CG coming from PA. Had an end site closest to playground. Very nice site and access to beach was convenient. Bathrooms were clean and seemed new. Wife said bathrooms were very hot inside not well ventilated. Mens room were just fine. Would stay here again.
Very nice CG. Site was very nice, level and very close to playground. French Creek has a lot of biking and hiking trail and a very beautiful lake. Will definitely stay here again, price can't be beat..
Nice park. Site(F6) was level and had view of pond. Bathrooms were dirty and had lots of spiders. Has water park nearby and it is inexpensive. Pond is beautiful with lots of hiking trails. Will stay here again.
